Gaasly is not in the ChatGPT app directory yet, so it goes in as a custom connector with developer mode switched on. Four steps, below, and the last one is your first request.

Setup

Four Steps, About Five Minutes

Custom connectors live behind developer mode, which you switch on once. OpenAI offers it on Pro, Plus, Business, Enterprise and Education accounts, on the web.

    Turn on developer mode

    In ChatGPT settings, open Security and login and switch Developer mode on. You only ever do this once.

    Copy the Gaasly connector URL

    This one address gives ChatGPT access to your Gaasly account.

    Add the connection

    On the plugins page, press the plus button and choose Create app. A window called New Plugin opens, asking you to drag in a .tar.gz, .tgz or .zip file.

    Ignore the file box and click Create MCP App, at the bottom left of that window. That is the only option that works for Gaasly. You are not uploading anything, so nothing goes in the drop area, and Add plugin stays greyed out.

    Here is exactly what goes in each field of the form that opens.

    • Connection (leave the toggle on Server URL, not Tunnel)

      Choose OAuth. Leave Advanced OAuth settings alone: ChatGPT fills those in from the address itself once you have pasted it.

      Tick I understand and want to continue, then create the app and sign in with your Gaasly account when it asks.

    Ask ChatGPT to build or change your site

    Open the plus menu in any chat, choose developer mode and pick Gaasly. Then just ask. If you have no idea what to say first, say this:

    It will look at what is in your account and walk you through the first thing worth doing. Or be specific from the start:

    • If you are starting from nothing
      Build me a five page site for my business. I will tell you what we do, where we work and our phone number.
    • If you already have a site somewhere else
      Copy my existing site into Gaasly, keep the wording and the addresses, and show me what you changed.

    From there it is all asking: a new page, a price change, a photo swap. Nothing reaches visitors until you publish.

OpenAI's own developer mode guide has the current screens, and warns that custom connectors get read and write access, so only add ones you trust. Stuck anywhere? Support replies within one business day, or book a meeting and we will set it up with you.

The connection costs nothing on top of your Gaasly products and your ChatGPT plan. Everything below happens by asking, in plain words, in a conversation you were having anyway.

  • Build and change your website

    Ask for a new page, a different price or a photo swap. ChatGPT makes the change in your site, and nothing reaches visitors until you publish.

  • Answer questions about your customers

    Who got in touch last week, how many times they have been in touch, what this customer told you last time. It reads the answer out of your CRM instead of you going to look.

    "Build me a five page site for my plumbing business in Austin. Here are the services, the areas we cover and our phone number."

  • Bring your current site over

    "Copy my existing site at example.com into Gaasly, keep the wording and the addresses, and show me what you changed."

  • Change something

    "Add a booking section to the contact page and put our opening hours next to it."

  • Write a new page

    "Write a page about our winter service, in the same tone as the rest of the site, and link it from the menu."

  • Check the week's leads

    "Who got in touch last week, and which of them have been in touch more than once?"

    "Remind me what this customer asked us last time before I call them back."

Questions

Common Questions About the Connector

Does the connection cost anything?

No. You pay for your Gaasly products from $1 a month each, and for whatever plan you already have with your assistant. The connector itself is included.

What can my assistant actually do?

It can read your Gaasly account, and make the website changes you ask for. In the CRM it reads today: creating contacts and sending follow-ups through the assistant is being built. Nothing goes live on your site until you publish it.

Can other people in my company connect too?

Yes. Each person adds the same address in their own assistant and signs in as themselves, so you keep seeing who changed what.

Which other assistants work?

Anything that supports the MCP standard, including Grok and a growing list of others. The address is the same wherever you add it.

How do I disconnect it?

Remove the connector in your assistant's settings and access stops there and then. Your Gaasly account, your site and your data are untouched.

Something is not working. Who do I ask?

Our support page has three ways to reach us, and a person replies within one business day. Tell us which assistant you are using and what it says.
